As an EYFS Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the early development of young learners. You will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that promote physical, social, and emotional growth, while ensuring pupils are equipped with essential skills for future learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and assess EYFS education lessons that support physical, social, and emotional development.
- Deliver inclusive and engaging lessons that cater to diverse abilities and promote confidence and teamwork.
- Teach swimming and ensure pupils develop water confidence, swimming techniques, and an understanding of water safety.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support school initiatives, including extracurricular activities and inter-school competitions.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate pupils with English as an additional language and ensure equity and inclusion.
- Contribute to curriculum development and ensure alignment with the school’s philosophy and international standards.
- Promote positive relationships with parents and carers, and support community engagement and partnerships.
- Uphold health and safety standards across all areas of the curriculum and during playground duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- PGCE or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of two years of experience as an EYFS Class Teacher.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
- Experience in behaviour management and classroom leadership.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching swimming or water safety.
- Experience with English as an Additional Language (EAL) support.
- Familiarity with international curriculum standards and teaching methodologies.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
