The Opportunity:
As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing the school site and ensuring all operational aspects run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about maintaining a safe and efficient learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all site and contract matters, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise site staff, delegating responsibilities and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Oversee building works and premises-related contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely and to a high standard.
- Implement and maintain risk management strategies to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure all facilities are well-maintained and meet the school’s high standards.
- Support the school during events by providing flexibility in working hours as required.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align facility management with the school’s strategic goals.
- Monitor and report on the performance of contractors and service providers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Experience in health and safety compliance and risk management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
Preferred
- Experience in managing large-scale building projects or premises-related contracts.
- Familiarity with school operations and the educational sector.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
- Experience with administrative systems and software.
