The Opportunity:

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s financial operations, including payroll, accounting, and trip administration. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to the smooth running of a dynamic and forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage orders and invoices across multiple schools within the Trust.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and manual payroll records.
  • Prepare budgets for school trips and other financial activities.
  • Support trip leaders with administrative tasks related to school journeys and trips.
  • Liaise with internal staff and external agencies to ensure efficient financial processes.
  • Use IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Sage 200, to manage spreadsheets and databases.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working in a finance or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial processing.
  • Experience working within a school or educational trust environment.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Sage 200 or similar accounting systems.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Flexibility to work term-time and manage varying workloads.
  • Experience in a team-based environment with a focus on collaboration.
