The Opportunity:
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s financial operations, including payroll, accounting, and trip administration. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to the smooth running of a dynamic and forward-thinking institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage orders and invoices across multiple schools within the Trust.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and manual payroll records.
- Prepare budgets for school trips and other financial activities.
- Support trip leaders with administrative tasks related to school journeys and trips.
- Liaise with internal staff and external agencies to ensure efficient financial processes.
- Use IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Sage 200, to manage spreadsheets and databases.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience working in a finance or administrative role.
- Strong organisational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial processing.
- Experience working within a school or educational trust environment.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Sage 200 or similar accounting systems.
- Experience with budgeting and financial planning.
- Flexibility to work term-time and manage varying workloads.
- Experience in a team-based environment with a focus on collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- 25 hours per week, term-time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks).
