Music Facilities Administrator & Technician needed to support music school operations.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Music Facilities Administrator & Technician to support the Music School Manager in managing day-to-day operations, including facility coordination, instrument maintenance, and event support. This role is ideal for someone with a blend of administrative and technical skills in a music environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the use of music facilities and manage room booking systems
  • Maintain and manage musical instruments and equipment, including set-up for bands and recordings
  • Support logistical needs for external commercial hires and event coordination
  • Administer and update internal systems and databases related to music facilities
  • Supervise out-of-hours concerts and facility hires as required
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of music technology and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards in all music-related activities
  • Provide administrative support to the Music School Manager as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in administrative support within an educational or music setting
  • Familiarity with music technology, instrument set-up, and equipment maintenance
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and school holidays
  • Experience with database and scheduling systems
  • Physical ability to lift and move musical equipment

Preferred

  • Previous experience in event coordination or facility management
  • Knowledge of sound engineering or music production
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Background in education or music performance
