The Opportunity:
The Finance Manager will play a key role in the financial management of the Trust, ensuring strong financial control and compliance across all areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to contribute to a high-performing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including budget monitoring, management accounts, and payroll oversight.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure financial compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Support the CFO and Assistant Principal (Operations) in strategic financial planning and reporting.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies that support the Trust’s growth and partnerships.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant.
- Collaborate with non-finance colleagues to ensure financial processes support educational outcomes.
- Assist in the onboarding and integration of new schools within the Trust.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified accountant with relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in financial management within an educational or similar organisation.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, compliance, and budgeting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in managing a finance team.
- Experience with financial software and accounting systems.
- Knowledge of educational sector financial practices.
- Experience in supporting strategic growth and partnership initiatives.
