Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior leadership.
- Support the school’s strategic goals by providing accurate financial insights and analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective use of resources.
- Monitor and control expenditure to maintain financial sustainability.
- Liaise with external auditors and financial advisors as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior financial role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and accounting software.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with school budgeting and financial planning.
- Familiarity with the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in managing a team or leading financial projects.
