The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality RE lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the school's Christian values and ethos.
  • Support student personal development through meaningful pastoral care and guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and community engagement.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and understanding.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant RE experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the RE curriculum and its delivery in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a Church of England school or similar setting.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support.
  • Familiarity with the Teachers’ Pension Scheme or Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Experience in developing and delivering a values-based curriculum.
