Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality PE lessons that engage students and promote physical wellbeing.
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that aligns with school standards and student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and teamwork.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Recent experience of teaching PE at GCSE level.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to PE department initiatives.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
