The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and financially astute Finance Officer to join our busy yet supportive finance team on a part-time, temporary basis. This role is essential to maintaining the school’s financial operations and will involve supporting the Director of Finance & Resources during key periods, including audit preparation and Year 12 enrolment days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation.
• Support the Director of Finance & Resources during audit periods and Year 12 enrolment days.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative support as required.
• Assist in the management of school budgets and financial planning.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working in a school finance environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.

Preferred

• Experience with PS Finance System.
• Understanding of school budgeting and financial planning.
• Previous experience in a similar temporary or part-time role.
• Knowledge of audit processes and financial compliance.
