The Opportunity:

As a Music Assistant, you will support the delivery of both curricular and extra-curricular music activities, playing a key role in facilitating music exams, instrumental repairs, and organisation of the music library. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for music and strong organisational skills to contribute to a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the Music Department
• Facilitate music exams and manage instrumental repairs and rentals
• Organise and maintain the music library
• Assist in the planning and delivery of concerts and performances
• Support the organisation of musical events, some of which may occur outside of normal school hours
• Provide administrative support to music staff
• Contribute to the overall success of the school's music programme
• Ensure all music-related activities are delivered efficiently and effectively

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• A passion for music and a commitment to student development
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a school or educational environment

Preferred

• Experience in music administration or support roles
• Knowledge of music technology and software
• Experience with event organisation or performance management
• Understanding of music curriculum and teaching practices
