Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs and complex learning requirements.
- Assist in delivering lessons and activities in core subjects.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with staff to implement strategies that support student learning.
- Ensure that all teaching and learning resources are well-organised and accessible.
- Promote a culture of respect, care, and high expectations among students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Level 2 (GCSE grade 4).
- Relevant and up-to-date training in behaviour support, SEN, or emotional wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs or complex learning needs.
- Organised and detail-oriented with a passion for making a difference.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or supporting learning in core subjects.
- Knowledge of SEND support strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
- Experience working in an academy or school setting.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
