Summary:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant role available at a school in Sheffield. Support students with SEND and core subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and complex learning requirements.
  • Assist in delivering lessons and activities in core subjects.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with staff to implement strategies that support student learning.
  • Ensure that all teaching and learning resources are well-organised and accessible.
  • Promote a culture of respect, care, and high expectations among students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Level 2 (GCSE grade 4).
  • Relevant and up-to-date training in behaviour support, SEN, or emotional wellbeing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs or complex learning needs.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a passion for making a difference.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or supporting learning in core subjects.
  • Knowledge of SEND support strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience working in an academy or school setting.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
