The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our team and deliver Geography, History, and PSHE to small groups of students. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students while enjoying a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons in Geography, History, and PSHE to small groups of students.
  • Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies to support student well-being and attendance.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to develop individualized learning pathways for students.
  • Support students in achieving academic and personal growth through a balanced approach of challenge and support.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the institution.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Provide regular feedback and support to students to help them reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography, History, and/or PSHE.
  • Experience working with students with a range of needs, including those with autism and SEMH.
  • Commitment to student well-being and the ability to build strong relationships with students and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in a special needs or alternative provision setting.
  • Experience with small group teaching and individualized learning plans.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple provisions and subjects.
