Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3-5 in line with the UK National Curriculum.
- Plan and deliver practical and theoretical lessons that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
- Use effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage resources safely in practical learning environments.
- Promote healthy lifestyles through education on nutrition and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and development.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Food Technology or a related subject within a UK secondary school setting.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology with an emphasis on Food Technology.
- Excellent classroom management and student motivation skills.
- Competent in using assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching students with special educational needs or autism.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
- Commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles through food education.
