Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a high-quality Health & Social Care curriculum at KS4 and KS5.
- Lead and inspire a team of dedicated teachers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes.
- Organise and deliver enrichment activities, including guest speaker events.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with the school’s mission and values of excellence and kindness.
- Maintain strong links with external organisations and stakeholders.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Health & Social Care up to KS5.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a subject department.
- Strong understanding of BTEC qualifications and assessment methods.
- Commitment to the school’s values of Hard Work, Integrity, and Kindness.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading a successful subject department.
- Background in Direct Instruction teaching methods.
- Experience with student behaviour management and character development.
- Familiarity with enrichment activities and guest speaker programs.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on academic and personal development.
