Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Food Technology lessons that inspire students and promote practical learning.
  • Plan and develop curriculum content that aligns with the school's vision and educational standards.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and individualized feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.

  • Stay up to date with developments in Food Technology and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate and in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Food Technology experience.
  • Ability to teach to a professional standard with a strong understanding of student learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improving student outcomes.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of modern Food Technology practices and industry trends.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or similar.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or school events.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
