Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach key stages 3-5 with a focus on engaging and challenging students
  • Act as a form tutor, supporting student wellbeing and personal development
  • Participate in and lead extra-curricular activities within the department
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that reflect curriculum priorities and promote student success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and impactful teaching strategies
  • Contribute to departmental and school-wide initiatives that enhance student outcomes
  • Support the school’s mission to empower young women through academic and personal development
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance teaching expertise

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Strong understanding of curriculum priorities in History and Politics
  • Ability to articulate the importance of the subject in student development
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching History and Politics in a high-performing school
  • Experience with extra-curricular leadership or student mentorship
  • Familiarity with National professional qualifications in teaching
  • Experience working in an all-girls’ school or similar environment
