Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English to key stages 3-5 with a focus on academic excellence and student engagement
- Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and guidance to students
- Participate in and contribute to extra-curricular activities within the department
- Deliver high-quality lessons that align with curriculum priorities and educational goals
- Support student development through mentorship and enrichment opportunities
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience
- Promote the value of English as a subject in shaping young people’s personal and academic growth
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s CPD programme
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant teaching experience
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Strong understanding of English curriculum priorities
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience teaching in a high-performing school environment
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills

- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning
