Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to key stages 3-5 with a focus on academic excellence and student engagement
  • Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and guidance to students
  • Participate in and contribute to extra-curricular activities within the department
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that align with curriculum priorities and educational goals
  • Support student development through mentorship and enrichment opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience
  • Promote the value of English as a subject in shaping young people’s personal and academic growth
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s CPD programme

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant teaching experience
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Strong understanding of English curriculum priorities
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred
