The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic Modern Languages Department as a French and Spanish Teacher. You will inspire students with engaging lessons, develop their language skills, and prepare them for higher education, including top universities like Oxbridge. This is a key role in shaping confident, culturally aware learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality French and Spanish lessons to students across all year groups.
  • Foster a love for languages and cultural awareness through innovative teaching methods.
  • Prepare students for university entrance, including Oxbridge applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Support students in building confidence and fluency in both spoken and written language.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in school-wide events and extracurricular activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching French and/or Spanish.
  • Strong subject knowledge in both languages.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably in a UK setting.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience with preparing students for university entrance, including Oxbridge.
  • Multilingual skills beyond French and Spanish.
  • Experience with teaching in a boarding school environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
