The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Chemistry, you will play a vital role in inspiring the next generation of scientists. You will teach Chemistry, Biology, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an innovative, inclusive curriculum.
- Support students in overcoming barriers to success and fostering a love of Science.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of Science teaching and learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure outstanding academic outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Chemistry or a related science subject.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting all students to succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 5.
- Experience with Science curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with modern Science teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience working in an all-ability school setting.
