French Teacher required for September 2026 – 6-month maternity cover.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified French Teacher to join our dynamic Modern Languages Department. This role will involve teaching French, with the potential to also contribute to Spanish lessons. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality education and supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality French lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the broader curriculum, including pastoral and extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Modern Languages Department to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized guidance and feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.
  • Promote the school’s values and mission through positive engagement with students and the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching French.
  • Strong subject knowledge in French language and culture.
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of education and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Spanish or other modern languages.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
