The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support teaching staff during short-term absences and ensure students continue to learn and make progress. Based in the Main Office, you will also assist with administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff during short-term absences by supervising classes effectively.
• Ensure a positive learning environment for students during cover periods.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the school.
• Collaborate with teaching and non-teaching staff to maintain a cohesive school community.
• Promote a culture of unconditional positive regard and student engagement.
• Provide guidance and support to students in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with relevant staff members.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a school setting, preferably in a supervisory or support role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain discipline.
• Commitment to student welfare and academic progress.
• Flexibility to work across different year groups and subjects.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching or supporting teaching staff.
• Familiarity with school administrative systems and procedures.
• Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Knowledge of curriculum and assessment practices.
• Previous involvement in professional development or training programs.
