Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies in mathematics
  • Oversee curriculum delivery and monitor student progress
  • Lead and support the mathematics department to achieve high standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Work closely with parents, governors, and external agencies to support student success
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community
  • Encourage continuous professional development for staff

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong knowledge of Key Stage 3 mathematics curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team
  • Experience working with students with autism and special educational needs
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
