The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join its team on a 1-year contract. This role is central to shaping the educational experiences of young learners and supporting their developmental needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to enhance their educational journey.
  • Assist in writing IEP targets and IEMs that are directly linked to group teaching.
  • Employ effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student development and address any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and methodologies.
  • Integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences and engage students effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.

Preferred

  • Specialisation in Early Childhood Education.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong skills in behaviour management.
  • Experience with students with autism and complex needs.
