The Opportunity:

A Speech and Language Therapist is needed to support students with speech, language, and communication needs. This role involves delivering social communication groups, running LEGO®‑Based Therapy sessions, and providing 1:1 interventions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with neurodiverse young people and committed to student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver social communication groups (SaLT-led) to support student development
  • Run LEGO®‑Based Therapy sessions to enhance communication and social skills
  • Provide 1:1 interventions tailored to individual speech, language, and communication needs
  • Complete assessments, reports, EHCP input, and progress reviews
  • Work closely with staff to support communication-friendly classrooms
  • Collaborate with the SaLT team to ensure consistent and effective support
  • Develop and implement creative and engaging therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate records and progress tracking for all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist with 2+ years of experience
  • Completed RCSL Qualified Practitioner competencies
  • Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with neurodiverse young people, including those with autism

Preferred

  • Experience with social communication interventions
  • Knowledge of LEGO®‑Based Therapy
  • Experience with EHCP processes
  • Interest in service development and group work
