The Opportunity:

As a French Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will support students in achieving outstanding results in French, while contributing to a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. This is a part-time and permanent opportunity for an experienced teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Support subject leaders in developing and implementing high-quality lesson plans and schemes of work.
• Monitor and report on student progress through internal and external assessments.
• Collaborate with the Head of Year to provide pastoral support and guidance to students.
• Contribute to whole school development priorities and faculty initiatives.
• Undertake supervision duties in line with the school’s duty rota.
• Participate in continuous professional development sessions to enhance teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A good undergraduate degree in French.
• Commitment and passion for teaching.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage student behaviour effectively.
• Digital competence to utilise technology in lesson delivery.

Preferred

• Experience teaching French in an independent school setting.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
• Knowledge of teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Experience in pastoral care and student support.
