Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching standards.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Head of Department or in a leadership role within English.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in driving academic improvement and student achievement.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in a girls' school or academy setting.
  • Familiarity with the key stage curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Experience with CPD and staff development.
  • Strong track record in team leadership and collaboration.
