The Opportunity:

As a Spanish Teacher Part-Time, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish lessons to students aged 3 to 11. You will play a key role in developing a progressive and culturally rich curriculum that supports academic success and prepares students for future pathways. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and academically rigorous Spanish lessons to students from Nursery to Year 6.
  • Design and oversee a coherent, progressive Spanish curriculum that supports strong academic outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and challenge where needed.
  • Promote cultural awareness through extracurricular activities, trips, and events.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through collaboration with colleagues and involvement in school initiatives.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support a nurturing learning environment.
  • Ensure lessons are aligned with the school’s values and educational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification and a good honours degree in Spanish.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish to young learners.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages and cultural understanding.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to whole-school values and a supportive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or teaching across multiple year groups.
  • Familiarity with the UK curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Experience with bilingual or immersive language teaching approaches.
  • Ability to design and deliver cross-curricular projects and events.
