The Opportunity:
As a Front Office Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about providing a welcoming and professional experience for all who visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors and respond to telephone and email enquiries in a professional, helpful, and positive manner.
- Assist pupils and escort late pupils to required locations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding school matters and coordinate information between parents and teachers.
- Maintain and update class registers, calling parents to confirm pupil absences.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, including diary management and event coordination.
- Monitor and manage the school email account, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of school events, including Open Days and Speech Day.
- Maintain and update school records and management information systems.
- Receive and manage all incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a receptionist and administrator in a customer-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong team player with a flexible and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and escalate matters when necessary.
- Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
- Polite, professional, and approachable manner.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or similar setting.
- Familiarity with a school management information system (MIS).
- Current paediatric First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
