The Opportunity:

As a Gap Year Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering PE and co-curricular activities. This is an ideal opportunity for school/college leavers or graduates with a passion for sport to contribute to the school’s vibrant community and support student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons and support co-curricular sports activities.
  • Assist with the organisation and delivery of school events such as Sports Days and Open Days.
  • Contribute to assemblies, clubs and other school-wide activities.
  • Support the Physical Education Department in planning and implementing programmes.
  • Engage with students in a positive and inspiring manner.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance the sporting experience for all students.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, inclusivity and personal growth.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A school, college or university leaver with a passion for sport.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy and ability to work with young people.
  • A background in sport or education.
  • Strong teamworking abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or coaching.
  • Knowledge of curriculum delivery in a school setting.
  • Experience with event organisation or leadership.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.
