The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Media department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and deliver a stimulating and relevant media curriculum.
  • Support and mentor teaching staff within the department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and intervention.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
  • Promote media studies through extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the school community through leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Media or a related subject.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school department.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Media studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic values and the school’s mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with digital media and technology in education.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team of teachers.
  • Background in Catholic education or faith-based schools.
