Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a school community rooted in Christian values and committed to academic excellence.
  • Provide strategic leadership, building on the school’s improvement journey and driving forward its vision for all students.
  • Develop and support a strong Senior Leadership Team and dedicated staff body.
  • Ensure the effective management of resources, finances, and the school’s overall operations.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes the welfare of all pupils.
  • Promote a vibrant and inclusive Sixth Form that contributes positively to the school’s culture.
  • Encourage the development of a broad and rich curriculum, including arts, music, drama, and sport.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Headteacher or senior leader in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Christian ethos and its application in a Church school.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a large and diverse school community.
  • Experience in safeguarding and child protection, with a commitment to student welfare.
  • A clear vision for the future of Church school education and the ability to lead effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a successful Sixth Form and supporting student progression to higher education.
  • A track record in driving school improvement and academic success.
  • Experience in curriculum development and extra-curricular enrichment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with staff, students, and the wider community.
