Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Music department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that inspires and challenges students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and enrichment opportunities.
- Promote and manage extra-curricular music activities, including ensembles and performances.
- Support the school's mission by fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and spiritual growth.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of resources and facilities within the Music department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in leading a Music department.
- Strong subject knowledge in Music and a commitment to delivering high-quality lessons.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team of teachers and support staff.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Background in performing arts or music production.
- Leadership experience in a school or educational organisation.
- Experience in developing and managing extra-curricular music programmes.
