Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual pupils and small groups in learning activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom environments effectively.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of students.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources.
  • Provide one-to-one support where required, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to the teaching team.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Proficiency in ICT and the use of educational software.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students who have complex needs or behavioural challenges.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
  • Experience with curriculum delivery or teaching support in Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4.
