Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality History lessons to students aged 11–18, ensuring engaging and effective teaching.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and aligns with the school’s leadership specialism.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Engage students through innovative and creative approaches that promote critical thinking and historical understanding.
- Support the school’s mission by encouraging leadership, character development, and social action.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
- Proven ability to deliver quality teaching that drives student achievement.
- Demonstrable experience in achieving positive outcomes for pupils.
Preferred
- Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
- Experience in innovation and creativity to engage and progress learners.
- Familiarity with leadership and character development programmes.
