Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons to students aged 11–18, ensuring engaging and effective teaching.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and aligns with the school’s leadership specialism.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Engage students through innovative and creative approaches that promote critical thinking and historical understanding.
  • Support the school’s mission by encouraging leadership, character development, and social action.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality teaching that drives student achievement.
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving positive outcomes for pupils.

Preferred

  • Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Experience in innovation and creativity to engage and progress learners.
  • Familiarity with leadership and character development programmes.
