Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum and cross-subject links.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
• Support extracurricular activities and fieldwork opportunities related to Geography.
• Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and community engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Proven experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

• Experience of teaching Geography at A Level.
• Familiarity with using technology in Geography lessons.
• Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles within a school.
• Knowledge of current issues and developments in Geography and environmental science.
