The Opportunity:
As a Geography Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering inspiring and rigorous lessons that drive achievement and foster a love of learning. You will join a dynamic Humanities Team and contribute to the school’s mission of excellence in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-5 that challenge and inspire students.
- Motivate and support learners of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Lead and coach colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices within the department.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and diversity in all aspects of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Geography and KS5 Government & Politics.
- Proven ability to raise pupil attainment and deliver high-quality lessons.
- Experience in leading and coaching others within a school setting.
- Strong IT, administrative, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and adults.
- Ability to manage minor incidents and provide first aid (training provided).
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Background in teaching within a school rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Experience in working within a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
