The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to deliver high-quality choral music lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. This role presents an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a vibrant music program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring choral music lessons to students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s music curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and community events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Engage in professional development and mentoring opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that respects diversity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong interest in music, particularly choral music, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Good communication skills to effectively deliver lessons and support student learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching music, especially choral music.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience in a school setting, particularly within a Church of England school.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
