The Opportunity:

As a Geography Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and professional futures of students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative Geography lessons at GCSE and A Level, including Year 9 (carousel basis), Year 10 to Year 13. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on students’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography at GCSE and A Level, including Year 9 (carousel basis), Year 10 to Year 13.
  • Inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver lessons that integrate the latest pedagogical techniques and technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Humanities faculty to develop a dynamic and relevant curriculum.
  • Support students in developing employability skills through real-world projects and learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission by delivering a high-quality, future-focused education.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training.
  • Engage in pastoral care and support student well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience teaching GCSE and A Level Geography.
  • Commitment to inspiring and motivating students of all abilities.
  • Understanding of modern teaching methods and technologies.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with project-based learning and real-world applications.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Experience in a UTC or similar employer-led educational setting.
