The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Geography Teacher to join a successful department and teach Geography up to A Level. The department consistently achieves above-average results and continues to grow in popularity. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and high-achieving team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across all key stages, including A Level.
  • Develop and implement engaging, innovative curricula that align with national standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental performance.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote Geography and student engagement.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, and student well-being.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4, with the ability to teach A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities when required.

Preferred

  • Experience with the use of technology in Geography teaching.
  • Experience with cross-curricular projects or community engagement initiatives.
  • Experience with pastoral support or student welfare programs.
  • Familiarity with the Wandle Learning Trust or similar educational partnerships.
