The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our department and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to deliver impactful lessons, support student success, and contribute to a culture of high-quality teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and knowledge-rich Geography lessons using the Explicit Direction Instruction model.
  • Support students in achieving strong outcomes at GCSE level through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a rigorous and inclusive curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching and learning across the department.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a caring and supportive school environment.
  • Engage in professional development and continue to grow as an educator.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality instruction and improving student achievement.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Explicit Direction Instruction model of teaching.
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience in supporting student wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or similar.
