Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons that promote student curiosity and understanding of human and physical processes.
  • Develop and implement a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and formative assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to enhance teaching and learning across the faculty.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and staff development initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that promote Geography and wider learning.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level.
  • Commitment to student achievement and inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or working with diverse student populations.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the department.
