Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Geography lessons that meet GCSE standards and promote student achievement.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all learners reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters student engagement and motivation.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting the values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition, and Respect.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities that enhance the Geography curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven ability to teach Geography to GCSE standard
- Experience of delivering outstanding attainment and achievement in a secondary school setting
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and engage students in learning
Preferred
- Experience of working in a school with a leadership specialism
- Experience of supporting student leadership and character development
- Experience of working in a disadvantaged community
- Experience of using technology to enhance teaching and learning
