The Opportunity:

A Psychology Teacher - Part or Full-Time is needed to join a dynamic and successful department, delivering high-quality teaching and learning to motivated students across both KS4 and KS5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Psychology lessons to students across both KS4 and KS5 using the AQA specification.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Social Sciences department to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results through innovative and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Participate in the wider school community by contributing to extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all learners are making consistent progress.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of departmental initiatives and training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Psychology at both KS4 and KS5.
  • Demonstrable experience as an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team and contributing to departmental success.
  • Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in student learning and development.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain high standards of behavior and engagement.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching other Social Science subjects.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections or working in a school with a strong inspection history.
  • Strong track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to professional development for other teachers.
