The Opportunity:
A Psychology Teacher - Part or Full-Time is needed to join a dynamic and successful department, delivering high-quality teaching and learning to motivated students across both KS4 and KS5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Psychology lessons to students across both KS4 and KS5 using the AQA specification.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Social Sciences department to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic results through innovative and inclusive teaching methods.
- Participate in the wider school community by contributing to extracurricular activities and school events.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all learners are making consistent progress.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of departmental initiatives and training sessions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Psychology at both KS4 and KS5.
- Demonstrable experience as an outstanding classroom practitioner.
- Commitment to working as part of a team and contributing to departmental success.
- Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in student learning and development.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain high standards of behavior and engagement.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching other Social Science subjects.
- Experience with Ofsted inspections or working in a school with a strong inspection history.
- Strong track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
- Experience in leading or contributing to professional development for other teachers.
