The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Geography Teacher to join our thriving school community. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development, while working in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 13.
- Inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential and develop a deeper understanding of Geography.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and support departmental development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular Geography activities and events.
- Contribute to the wider school community through staff meetings, professional development, and pastoral support.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
- Ability to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with experience in Key Stage 5 being an advantage.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Experience with teaching Geography at KS5 level.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
