The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 13.
  • Inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential and develop a deeper understanding of Geography.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and support departmental development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular Geography activities and events.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through staff meetings, professional development, and pastoral support.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
  • Ability to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with experience in Key Stage 5 being an advantage.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with teaching Geography at KS5 level.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
