The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a particular emphasis on A-Level English Literature. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including A-Level English Literature.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s co-curricular and extracurricular programme.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a love for English literature.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure alignment with school goals and standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to sustainability and regenerative practices in daily operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in delivering English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Proven ability to teach A-Level English Literature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular programme delivery.
  • Background in teaching in a small class setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.
