The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a particular emphasis on A-Level English Literature. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including A-Level English Literature.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s co-curricular and extracurricular programme.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a love for English literature.
- Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure alignment with school goals and standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to sustainability and regenerative practices in daily operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in delivering English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Proven ability to teach A-Level English Literature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Preferred
- Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular programme delivery.
- Background in teaching in a small class setting.
