Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching practices
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where needed
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities
  • Stay up to date with developments in maths education and incorporate new teaching methods
  • Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching both GCSE and A-Level maths
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
