Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Computer Science lessons to students of all abilities
  • Inspire curiosity and develop students’ digital literacy and computational thinking
  • Contribute to the academic, co-curricular, and pastoral life of the school
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A level qualifications in Computer Science
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and innovative approach to teaching and learning
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of computer science and integrate new technologies and teaching methods
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate
  • Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and beyond
  • Commitment to inclusive and nurturing teaching practices
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Experience with GCSE and A level Computer Science curricula
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in a co-curricular or pastoral role
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in modern education
