Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Computer Science lessons to students of all abilities
- Inspire curiosity and develop students’ digital literacy and computational thinking
- Contribute to the academic, co-curricular, and pastoral life of the school
- Support students in preparing for GCSE and A level qualifications in Computer Science
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and innovative approach to teaching and learning
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of computer science and integrate new technologies and teaching methods
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate
- Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and beyond
- Commitment to inclusive and nurturing teaching practices
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
Preferred
- Experience with teaching programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with GCSE and A level Computer Science curricula
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in a co-curricular or pastoral role
- Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in modern education
