The Opportunity:

A Girls' Games Teacher is needed to join a dynamic Sports department, working Tuesday to Friday afternoons. This role is ideal for someone passionate about physical education and dedicated to inspiring young athletes through sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Games lessons that promote teamwork, confidence, and a love of sport.
  • Specialise in Netball, with experience in Hockey and Cricket being an advantage.
  • Support the development of students’ physical and social skills through engaging and inclusive coaching.
  • Contribute to the life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during lessons and activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain the school’s high standards of teaching and pastoral care.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in physical education and sports coaching.
  • Encourage a positive and motivating environment that fosters a lifelong love of sport.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary or prep school physical education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons from Tuesday to Friday.
  • Passion for sport and a genuine interest in working with children.

Preferred

  • Specialism or experience in coaching Netball.
  • Experience in coaching Hockey and Cricket.
  • Previous experience in a school setting, particularly in a prep school.
  • Knowledge of child development and inclusive teaching practices.
