Summary:

Teaching Assistant (Full Time) – Support young learners in a dynamic school environment.

The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant is needed to support a class of children in Years 1–4 (KS1 & KS2). This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners, while working in a school that values care, creativity, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and organisation of lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, as needed.
  • Monitor and record student progress and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning.
  • Contribute to the school’s pastoral care and safeguarding procedures.
  • Assist with the maintenance of a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A genuine passion for teaching and working with children.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting, ideally with children aged 5–9.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive, caring attitude.

Preferred

  • Experience in a co-educational setting.
  • Knowledge of early years or primary education.
  • Experience with child development and behaviour management.
  • Proficiency in using educational software and digital tools.
