The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Girls PE Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, temporary role with the potential for long-term growth. The successful candidate will contribute to the physical development and well-being of students, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging PE lessons tailored to girls' needs and interests.
- Develop and implement a progressive curriculum that supports the physical and social development of students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student well-being and development.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote physical activity and healthy living.
- Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in girls' physical education.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE, preferably with a focus on girls.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and delivery in a school setting.
- Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular sports programs.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement initiatives.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Knowledge of modern PE teaching methodologies and technologies.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary within the Teachers Main/Upper Pay Range.
- Full-time, temporary contract for 1 year or the earlier return of the postholder.
